The large twin room was comfortable, but the shower step was quite awkward.

Spotlessly clean hotel, welcoming personnel, lovely and exceptionally good breakfast. Extremely clean building and fairly quiet and modest rooms with good facilities. Quirky and lovely place and beautiful location so close to the Bluebell Railway as well as Gatwick airport.

Wonderful base for 3 nights in Ardingly, quirky and lovely hotel. Lovely and exceptionally good breakfast with sausages and brioches, as example, beautiful location.

The Beautiful King Room offered excellent cleanliness levels, and the room featured a wall-mounted TV and a well-stocked tea-making station with biscuits and water. A large garden at the back provides a nice option for outdoor relaxation.
The dining options were limited, with only pizzas, which might not suit all tastes, especially if you're looking for variety during meals. Noise from the pub and the road outside made it hard to keep windows open for fresh air, and even with a lively atmosphere, the bar felt cramped and lacked ambiance. The garden area appeared unkempt and could benefit from some attention to showcase its potential.

The family really enjoyed the comfortable beds and noticed the cleanliness of the Beautiful King Room. Plus, the nearby South of England Showground, just a five-minute walk away, provided a perfect spot for entertaining events like antique fairs throughout the year.
My children wanted better dining options, as the menu was quite limited, especially for a family stay.

The decor offers a charming touch, combining rustic and cozy vibes. The breakfast options included pastries from the cafe next door were a nice perk, especially considering the included breakfast component.
Arriving at check-in time left me waiting for the doors to open, inconvenient. The absence of food options was disappointing, as the chef had resigned and I had to venture a mile away for dinner. Distinct plant pots outside were in neglect, detracting from the hotel's curb appeal. The overall atmosphere felt somewhat dated, with a slight mustiness in the lobby and dark corridors lacking enough light to feel cute.

This place is just a commendable fit for short visits in Ardingly with excellent value for money. The food was freshly cooked but plain, a bit disappointing. If you're a walker, you might want to order your meal right away to avoid any delays.
